The series entitled ‘Musicae Civitas’, created by Mikołaj Zgółka, PhD, is intended to reflect the best traditions of bourgeois musical life. Evoking this form of music presentation and reception, it will be an opportunity to learn more about the works presented, as well as to spend time in an intimate atmosphere. The HERZ Salon will feature works by composers such as G.Ph. Telemann, K.H. Graun, A. Vivaldi, J. Elsner, J. Haydn and W.A. Mozart. Mozart.

Józef Elsner (teacher of Fryderyk Chopin) is an extremely interesting figure and an outstanding composer born in Grodków in the Opole region. He received his primary education and musical experience in Wrocław, while almost all of his work was marked by his fascination and adoration of Polish culture. His string quartets, which are often compared to the works of Joseph Haydn, will be juxtaposed with pieces by this Viennese classic.
