We are pleased to announce that the exhibition Die Sammlung____OP ENHEIM/ABIS is extended until 10th of January 2020.
Die Sammlung____OP ENHEIM / ABIS is a show of works of art from the ABIS and OP ENHEIM collections. The gallery space in a baroque tenement house at 4 Salt Square in Wrocław will be filled with paintings by Robert Rauschenberg, Wilhelm Sasnal, Wim Wenders and Rainer Fetting.
The second half of the 20th century in Europe and America abounded in changes on many levels, which had an impact on the biographies of the artists who created them at that time. The current exhibition in OP ENHEIM is a symbolic story about the development, multifacetedness and diversity of world art of that period. Die Sammlung____ is a journey through the works-symbols that will determine the directions in which you can move, learning about the history of art in the second half of the 20th century. The exhibition includes paintings by Rauschenberg, Fetting and Koberling. The rehabilitation of war themes has been addressed in the works of Kiefer and Wenders, while the images of Pągowska, Ziemski and Opałka tell about the search for oneself and a new way of expressing oneself in the post-war reality. There is also no shortage of contemporary themes (Sasnal, Bujnowski, Gerken) or female art (Lafontaine, Hart).
