CALL FOR ARTIST RESIDENCIES FOR ARTISTS IN BERLIN.

OP_Residenz_ is a project for male and female visual artists that is part of a residency program at the FLOWLAND art farm in Tarczyn, a village located in Lower Silesia, Poland. We have prepared a month-long residency for two male and female artists from Berlin, in cooperation with local partners.

OP_Residenz_ is dedicated to artists from Berlin, who in their creative practice are interested in such topics as memory, identity of place, including Lower Silesia, Polish-German relations, transborderality and participatory art. The extraordinarily rich history of the surrounding region, as well as the cultural, national and social threads constantly intersecting here, will therefore be the starting point for the artistic and research activities undertaken during the residency.
During OP_Residenz_, male and female artists will research local history for nearly a month, the course and reflection of which will be summarized during an open artist talk in Berlin. The creative process during the residency will be supported substantively by the curator, Jagna Domzalska, and experts in the field.

The residency is fully funded – the artists/artists will receive a stipend of 550 euros / 2,500 zlotys gross, funds for the research process and accommodation at the Old School residency house.
The residency will take place from 08.08-05.09.2023.

To apply, please send via wetransfer.com

Applications will be accepted via email koordynacja@openheim.org until 3.07.2023.
